UTML

The aim of UTML is to have a web application for drawing diagrams in digital examinations. The application is specifically tailored to drawing UML diagrams and automata that are used in Technical Computer Science courses at the University of Twente.

History

UTML was originally developed as a design project in the academic year 2020/2021 (2A). UTML is a web application that allows students to draw computer science diagrams in digital testing environments. The need for this system has arisen in recent years as the Technical Computer Science program at the University of Twente has shifted more to digital tools in examinations, using a system called Remindo, because it streamlined the entire testing process. One downside of digital testing is that subject matter relating to diagram creation can not be tested using the current digital examination infrastructure.
